Prenatal

Bring relief to common pregnancy complaints, provide flexibility to birthing muscles, help maintain good posture and aid relaxation. (2nd and 3rd trimester)

During pregnancy, your skeletal structure increasingly supports more weight and your organs shift to accommodate your growing baby. Our experienced therapists undertake specific muscle manipulation based on your specific needs during the various stages of pregnancy to bring relief to some of the most common pregnancy complaints, provide flexibility to birthing muscles, help maintain good posture and aid relaxation. Studies show that women who received regular massages during pregnancy had lower rates of premature birth and experienced fewer obstetrical problems. Massage is suggested during the second and third trimester. It is recommended to receive treatments on the same schedule as you would see your doctor. Once a week is ideal during the later stages of pregnancy or if you have muscular tension and pain. If you’re unaccustomed to massage or are in the first trimester, seek the advice of your doctor before booking an appointment.
