Our story started in 2009, in the Nordelec building in Point St Charles. Diane Carruthers, a mom with two young children and a third one on the way, had a strong determination to share her innate senses and caring disposition. Her goal has always been to promote health and well-being and to this day, she continues to do so using a combination of massage therapy and bodywork.<\/p>\n

Now in the heart of Little Burgundy, we have since grown from one room to a whole center, from one therapist to a team of 30, from a dream to an important resource to our community.<\/p>\n

Where there is a will, there is a way but Diane would say that our growth is in huge part thanks to being surrounded by incredible women. Alexandra, Kimiko, Mimi and Kristi who helped promote from the beginning. Kate and Annick and Annic, the cheerleaders of the world. An extremely talented group of therapists, who have been supportive, kind and patient. Thank you!<\/p>\n

Tara is a certified massage therapist graduating in Kinetic Swedish massage in 2005. With an interest in holistic bodywork, she continued her studies in shiatsu. Her approach is a nurturing one, incorporating a mix of modalities including Swedish, Shiatsu, Deep flow, Reiki, and Cupping to help relieve tension and to promote deep relaxation in her clients. She is also specialized in prenatal massage since 2006, helping future mothers eliminate discomfort caused by pregnancy.<\/p>\n

Graduated in 2015 in Montreal in Kinetic Swedish Massage. Lyne’s interest in the body began with sport and dance. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in dance from UQAM. A massage therapist for 10 years, Mireille is a graduate of the recognized Kin\u00e9-Concept and Guijek schools of Swedish kinesthetic massage. She subsequently completed the prenatal massage training at Guijek and also offers massage for children. At ease with both Deep Tissue and relaxation massage, her treatment is naturally oriented towards a mixed approach including both the depth of muscle tension work specific to Swedish and relaxation. She has been working at Spa Vert for 3 years, and her approach is intuitive, creative and synchronized with body movement, breathing and music. Passionate about the human body and personal growth, she first trained as a Sivananda Vedanta yoga teacher, then took various dance courses, before discovering her passion for massage therapy.<\/p>\n

Particularly interested in psychosomatics (the link between body and mind) and the energetic aspect, she has a background in Chinese medicine and is currently training in Shiatsu massage at the Institut Tao Shiatsu Montr\u00e9al. Having also studied social work at university, she adapts her massage to the person’s situation and experience. Petra specializes in Naturopathy, Cranio-Sacral-Therapy, Dorn-Therapy and Systemic Family Constellations. Originally from Germany, she came to Canada in 2017, expanding her practices to include various other massage therapies including: Swedish and Thai Massage (with oil), Reflexology, Lymphatic Drainage, Pregnancy Massage and Somatic Experiencing. She encourages the individual journey to self-healing using a holistic approach.<\/p>\n

Prior to receiving her diplomas in massage, she trained in a professional classical ballet program, earned a bachelor’s degree in contemporary dance, and taught fitness classes. A 2003 graduate of the Institut Qu\u00e9b\u00e9cois pour la Sant\u00e9 Int\u00e9grale Guijek in Montreal, Katarzyna has been a massage therapist for 20 years. Her humanistic approach encompasses biomechanical (Swedish), energetic (Polarity) and psycho-corporal (Momentum) techniques. Socially involved, she worked with CHUM patients for several years. As a massage therapist, she also worked on a research project with survivors of sexual violence, in partnership with UQ\u00c0M and the community organization Tr\u00eave pour Elles. Ling is a certified massage therapist and member of the RMQ and ANQ. Since starting her career in China in 2004, she has accumulated considerable experience in this field. In 2010, after six years of practice in China, Ling moved to Canada where she attended a massage therapy workshop in Rimouski to familiarize herself with the needs of Canadian clients. She specializes in deep-tissue relaxation massage, using natural techniques such as acupressure therapy on the meridians, cupping and Gua Sha. These methods, in particular her expertise in reflexology and deep-tissue relaxation, are effective in relieving muscular tension and pain.<\/p>\n

In 2010, after six years of practice in China, Ling moved to Canada where she attended a massage therapy workshop in Rimouski to familiarize herself with the needs of Canadian clients. She specializes in deep-tissue relaxation massage, using natural techniques such as acupressure therapy on the meridians, cupping and Gua Sha. These methods, in particular her expertise in reflexology and deep-tissue relaxation, are effective in relieving muscular tension and pain.<\/p>\n
